A message from SLR Consulting

Lenders need confidence a project will be built on budget and repay its debt. As Independent Technical Engineer on projects like The Alpha HPA First Project and BCI’s Mardie, SLR stress-tests every assumption, sizes overrun facilities, and monitors delivery through payback.

Word on the Decline

  • Four weeks is a long time in CEO recruitment.

  • On 1 October, Lynas Chair John Humphrey was promising an announcement by November, possibly even late October. Yesterday, the same process was suddenly going to take “as long as it takes”.

  • Nine months into the search, what could possibly have changed so dramatically in 28 days?

  • We recall the last time Lynas put its CEO search on ice, it was entertaining a takeover proposal.

  • Might a combination with MP Materials be back on the table?

  • Perhaps the most suitable CEO is one who won't need appointing.
