Word on the Decline
Red Hill reported $28.8m of FY26 royalty revenue from Onslow Iron and finished June with $62.8m cash.
Plenty in the royalty game will tell you royalties are worth more inside larger portfolios. Fixed costs are spread across more revenue, cash flows are better diversified and the cost of capital should fall with scale. There is plenty of merit in that argument.
Vox Royalty is the obvious dance partner. Red Hill has Onslow Iron plus its Sandstone gold royalty. Vox has a suite of WA gold royalties plus a handful of iron ore (Wonmunna, Wyloo).
Before anyone gets too excited, the barrier is the ever-so-patient register. Josh Pitt’s Perth Capital owns 18.1%. Aquila Resources owns another 15.4%, a legacy stake dating back to the old Red Hill iron ore JV. Aquila is 85% owned by Baosteel.
