Word on the Decline

  • We reckon Lithium Plus could make an interesting bolt-on acquisition for Core Lithium.

  • Its Lei deposit sits in the same pegmatite field as Core’s Finniss operation, with a 5.2Mt resource grading 1.50% Li₂O.

  • The attraction isn’t necessarily more tonnes; it’s better tonnes. Metallurgical testwork has recoveries up to 76.9% through DMS alone, potentially allowing higher-grade Lei ore to displace lower-margin feed through Core’s existing plant.

  • With LPM trading at a fraction of its recent scoping study NPV, the opportunity looks intriguing. More recovered lithium through the same plant could mean lower unit costs and a more resilient operation through the lithium cycle.
