Word on the Decline

  • Last time Westgold and Pantoro were being talked about as a potential tie-up, there was a similar gap in their trading multiples.

  • That gap has opened up again. Westgold is now on 4.8x NTM EBITDA versus Pantoro on 3.3x, a roughly 30% discount.

  • We doubt that valuation arbitrage has gone unnoticed. Wouldn’t surprise us if the old idea is getting another run through the spreadsheet.
