Word on the Decline
The Aurene/Ballard combination is hardly a new theory, and the logic has been obvious for some time. Aurene owns the neighbouring Mt Ida operation and holds about 8% of BM1 and has a 1.5Mtpa CIL plant processing ore from the same broader structures
Reports suggest Mt Ida is producing roughly 70koz a year, although Aurene’s private ownership limits disclosure
The endgame the market would love, which is why we think it’s more likely than not, is a combination with the pro-forma retaining BM1’s ASX listing
