  • Iron ore declined due to a cautious tone ahead of a major holiday in China that’ll see mainland markets closed for a week from Wednesday (Bloomberg)

  • MinRes will slash its contractor workforce by ~100 people after fixing the notorious Pilbara haul road (Australian)

  • The US Treasury’s gold reserves have surpassed $1T in value - more than 90 times what’s stated on the government’s balance sheet (Bloomberg)

  • Commodities are on a tear since the Fed began rate cuts, with analysts tipping the rally in precious metals will broaden out to base metals next year (AFR)

  • NextEra said that the U.S. nuclear regulator has approved the license renewal for two units of its Point Beach plant for another 20 years (Reuters)

  • PNG’s National Court dismissed a multi-billion-dollar class-action lawsuit against Rio over damage allegedly caused by the Panguna copper mine (Bloomberg)

  • NGEx Minerals is raising C$100m via private placement at $25/sh, with Lundin family trust to maintain their interest in the company (NGEX.TO)

  • James Bay Minerals is raising $25m to advance the 1.4Moz Au and 7.3Moz Ag Independent project in Nevada (JBY) and renaming to Black Bear Minerals

  • Jaguar Mining announced a bought deal financing of C$25m to fund the restart of the Turmalina gold mine (JAG.TO)

  • Zijin Gold Int’l will start trading in Hong Kong tomorrow after its $3.2B raise in the world’s largest IPO since May (Bloomberg)

  • Artemis announced a C$700m revolving credit facility, extinguishing its project loan facility (ARTG.V)

  • Hillgrove increased its raising to $28m (HGO)

  • Tesoro upped its capital raise to take on $34m (TSO)

  • Saturn Metals is in a halt to raise capital, seeking $35m at 58c to progress its Apollo Hill gold project (STN)
