Word on the Decline
Canyon is shaping up as a neat case study in how minority shareholders can get squeezed in capital-hungry mining developers. A2MP/EEA already owns 56%, and is bidding 5c cash, a seemingly absurd 42% discount to Canyon’s pre-bid 8.7c close. Its justification? Minim Martap’s economics have deteriorated.

Canyon still needs substantial capital to get Minim Martap producing, while A2MP is effectively the marginal funder.
History is littered with similar outcomes, from PolyMet to ERA, where repeated funding needs steadily strengthened the controller.
Our bet: 5c is not the final price, but minorities have limited leverage.

Unfortunately for Toubani and Prospect, the “strategic investor” looks a lot more like a shark on the register now.
